These days, Fortunato and I do Christmas a little differently than the days of old — we now keep the holidays just as joyful but have small gatherings.
Back when I was a kid, my parents house would be the “stop by” house for the holidays. My parents would set up a buffet and family and friends would stop by whenever they wanted to without notice.
Whether I was a kid blessed by the community that surrounded me, or an adult with our cherished smaller gatherings, Christmas is always a welcome time. Here’s hoping that your own holiday season is as relaxing as mine will be — and that it doesn’t get too cold up here in Ohio!
