Every patient is different and comes to us with unique needs, meaning they need a unique solution.

Better hearing isn’t just about hearing aids.  It’s also about retraining your auditory system.  You visit us much like you would a physical therapist.  Not only do we help you find the right technology to solve your hearing loss, but we find a solution that fits your lifestyle.  Every patient is different and comes to us with unique needs, meaning they need a unique solution.

Part of retraining your auditory system has to do with communication.  With new hearing aids, you hear sounds you may not have heard for years, and you may not be sure how to respond – this includes the sound of voices and inflections. We work closely with patients and their families to relearn how to respond and redevelop communication skills that may have been lost over time as a result of hearing loss.

This is all part of our process here at Centers for Hearing Care. Not all specialists take this approach.  That’s why so many of our patients come back and tell us about their hearing experiences.  They tell us how their lives have changed for the better.  We give every patient a roadmap to success.  We set expectations, and we guide patients through every step of the process.

Getting hearing aids can sometimes feel intimidating.  It’s a challenge we work to simplify as much as possible.  The great part is, if you’re dealing with hearing loss, you have nothing to lose by exploring your options.  If one solution doesn’t work, we can try something else.  We’re here for you, but it’s up to you to take that first step!

Warmly,

Dr. Sheryl Figliano
